Beginning with Habitat presentation

WHEN: Thursday May 20, 2021 9:00 am - 10:30:00

WHERE: Maine Lake Science Center, 51 Willett Road, Bridgton (outside under the tent)

LEA will be hosting a presentation by Amanda Cross of Beginning with Habitat. Beginning with Habitat (BwH) helps Maine municipalities, landowners, and land trusts build habitat conservation into their long-term plans.

Beginning with Habitat (BwH), a collaborative program of federal, state and local agencies and non-governmental organizations, is a habitat-based approach to conserving wildlife and plant habitat on a landscape scale. The goal of the program is to maintain sufficient habitat to support all native plant and animal species currently breeding in Maine. BwH compiles habitat information from multiple sources, integrates it into one package, and makes it accessible to towns, land trusts, conservation organizations, and others to use proactively.

Come learn how to navigate the resources available to plan for today in such a way that 50 years from now your landscape will maintain a quality of place that allows future generations to fish, hunt, photograph or watch wildlife.

Participation is free, but registration is required (by 5/18 please): registration form.
