Biologist Deb Perkins will join the Lakes Environmental Association at the Maine Lake Science Center for a presentation on her experiences in the Maine woods with one of our most well-known, but rarely seen, large mammals. Deb will present a slide show of her field experiences researching Maine black bears and share stories of her studies of black bears in New Mexico and Tennessee, and grizzlies in Yellowstone and Alaska. Come learn more about bear behavior, biology, and challenges to bear conservation and management in Maine and beyond. June 26th at 6 pm, 51 Willett Road, Bridgton. LEA members $5, non-members $10.
