Experience the quiet splendor of being out on the ice under a full winter moon. The group will meet at Woods Pond Beach and snowshoe out onto the ice to watch the sunset just before 5:30 and the moon rises shortly after. The February full moon is the Snow Moon, referring to snow on the ground and the typically cold, snowy weather of this time of year. As we trek along the pond, we’ll also look for signs of wildlife activity and share information about LEA’s winter water testing program. Registration required. Snowshoes are available to borrow from LEA.
