Join teachers K-12, (and beyond!) for a professional development day that covers multiple curriculum resources about the forest, woods and water quality, and forest resources. We will examine the K-12 resource guide, take a walk through the new Carbon and Climate e-unit for middle school, and visit the Forest Inventory Growth (FIG) plot connected with the high school curriculum guide, Focus on Forests. Besides a great day and lots of networking, teachers will enjoy snacks and lunch, 8 contact hours, a day at the Maine Lake Science Center (and maybe jump on a low course element), and leave with the K-12 curriculum guide and resources from our district forester. Sign up with CJ at PLT by calling 207-621-9872 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. $20 fee (these workshops are usually $50!!) The event is supported by a grant from National PLT. We hope to see you there!
