Spring is creeping in and the leaves will burst out soon!
Project budburst is a citizen science program tracking the changing of the seasons, phenology, by mapping where and when buds are bursting open. These flowers and leaves opening provide food for insects, which in turn, provide food for birds.
Head outside and track flowers and leaves opening with your kiddos. Resources on this page are specific for families for indoor and outdoor explorations are for pre K-8 grade. For older students, check out the regular budburst page to create your own account and enter data from your back yard!
