Castor canadensis is like the epitome of intelligent design and evolution. This animal is made to straddle the aquatic and terrestrial world. We will meet at the corner of Grist Mill and Perley Road instead of the Holt Pond parking lot, and head down the Muddy River trail to see what the resident beavers have been up to, examine some beaver dams, and take a peek at the lodge off the Muddy River boardwalk. Along the way we’ll be discussing structure, function and adaptations of this incredible mammal! We hope you can join us for an exciting lens into the world of the beaver.
