As many of you know, this year marks Colin Holme’s 25th anniversary at LEA. From his early days as a water testing intern to his leadership now as Executive Director, Colin has seen LEA through many, many changes. The organization – and our lakes – are thriving in no small part thanks to Colin’s dedication to our work over the years.
This summer, we celebrated Colin’s 25 years with a fundraising gala at Bear Mountain Inn. Thank you to everyone who attended the event and/or contributed to the fundraiser gala. We had so much fun celebrating with all of you, and we were humbled by the outpouring of support we received. After accounting for costs, this event brought in over $80,000. What a night! The majority of these funds will support invasive species prevention and removal, water monitoring, educational programming, and trail improvements at our preserves and land holdings.
We enjoyed looking back on all Colin has brought to the organization, while also looking ahead and planning for all the work there is yet to come. Thank you for helping fund our work now and into the future.
All proceeds from this event will support LEA’s long-term work protecting and preserving the pristine water quality we all enjoy in the lakes region for generations to come.
