Join us for a morning of muddy work at the Highland Research Forest in Bridgton as we learn how to build a bog bridge. These elevated surfaces are vital to preserving and maintaining trail through wet woodsy spaces and keep our feet dry- but more importantly keep the trail from eroding and mucking up the nearby streams! We will be getting down and dirty- work clothes, gloves, and work boots or rubber boots are recommended. Please be prepared with water and snacks (and a lunch if you’d like to have a picnic after!). Contact alanna@mainelakes.org with any questions and to register. This event is part of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, and can be found with many other happenings at Maine Trail Finder.
