The New England Phenology Program works with citizen volunteers

across Maine and New Hampshire to observe and record the seasonal changes of common plants and animals with the goal of building a rich and complex database of the region’s seasonal turns. Many of us already notice the first dandelion, when robins are building their nests, or the change in maple leaves. Signs of the Seasons trains citizens to identify and record those changes and contribute to the growing database. As more observations are recorded, we can start to see the difference between short-term variability and long-term shifts, and citizen science is the key! We hope you can join us for this FREE training at the Science Center with Signs of the Seasons! Registration is required, click on the LEA date. Please note that this training is at the Science Center, 51 Willett Road, in Bridgton. More information: alanna@leamaine.org.
