Join LEA staff for a naturalist walk at Highland Research Forest. We’ll identify shrubs and trees along the trail and discuss which species are good candidates for shoreline plantings and why. The out-and-back walk will take us out to the northern end of Highland Lake, with views of an active beaver lodge. During the walk, there will be time for questions about shoreline planting recommendations, as well as forest health issues such as pests and pathogens.
Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. This walk is free and family friendly; all ages are welcome.
